FIGHTING FOR FARMINGTON
Even though Fighting for Farmington is the second book in the Harmony Series, it stands far above the rest! It’s about a family who takes on a ministry of building homes for families in need. The problem is, there’s also an arsonist in town. And the arsonist sees their ministry as a threat. We would recommend reading Hidden in Harmony before reading this book to keep the set in order. Believe us, if you love clean, Christian mysteries, you’ll love this entire set!
Here’s some information about the author: JR Thompson, his wife, horse, cattle, and black lab live in a small ranch in northwestern Montana. At the present, JR pastors one church, serves as an interim pastor of another, runs his own small business, works his ranch, he writes, and when he has spare time available he loves to hike. He says Montana has the best hiking trails he’s ever been on, although most are quite steep.
JR Thompson prides himself on keeping all of this writings void of embarrassing bedroom scenes and profanity. He has quite a few books out there, and they’re all great. Check them out!
murder in the mountains series
There’s no way we could leave the “A Murder in the Mountain Series” off of our list! If you have never read anything by Heather Day Gilbert, you’re going to be thrilled with this find!
The first book in the series, Miranda Warning, is about a threatening note that shows up in someone’s mailbox in the handwriting of a dead woman. The neighbor of the person who received the letter decides it’s up to her to unmask the identity of the killer before there’s another victim.
We won’t tell you what the other two are about. Do yourself a favor, and check out all of Heather Day Gilbert’s books. You won’t be disappointed. Like JR Thompson, Heather Day Gilbert does not include any profanity or sexual scenes in her books.
monster
We’re not sure if there’s anyone out there who writes Christian fiction quite like Frank Peretti. Monster tells the story of a couple who go camping. On their first night in the woods, something emerges. What, they’re not quite sure. Whatever the furry creature it, is captures the wife and carries her off into the darkness. Monster is a New York Times Bestseller and we understand why.
Like JR Thompson (of Montana), and Heather Day Gilbert (of West Virginia), Frank Peretti (of Idaho) does not include any profanity or sexual scenes in his writings.
